Image Specifications

If you are handy with computer image editing programs, or know someone who is, you can create your own graphics! Just follow these guidelines:

  • Images must be in CMYK color.
  • The graphic needs to be 100dpi at output size. So if you want a graphic 15 inches wide and 45 inches long, make sure the image is 100dpi at that size. The file should not exceed 75mb. If the file exceeds 75mb, reduce the dpi to between 50 - 100.
  • Most graphics need to be contour cut (i.e., if you don't want a square, poster-type print you'll need it contour-cut).
  • Graphics found on the web cannot be printed. Not only are they generally protected by copyright, but the image quality is lost when it is enlarged.
  • Images should be saved on CD-R media in PC format, with layers and other "parts" intact, just in case some modifications need to be made once we receive the file.
  • These graphics are printed on white vinyl. So drop shadows around the graphic should be solid- no gradient/transparency since it will fade into white- and unless you have a white surface the effect will not look realistic. You want a crisp edge around your graphics.

That's pretty much it. If this sounds like your bag, send me a Special Request to get the ball rolling. Turnaround time will vary depending on the design.

If you are an artist or a computer graphics wiz and think you have some designs that might interest others, let me know. Attach an image or two of your work to the e-mail. If it's something that I think will work, you can earn some money!
