Answer to a common question
I have a logo that I want to get made into decals, what are my options?

Good question!
- Option 1: Made with a white or colored background (not clear):
- Print your graphic on white vinyl and cut in a rectangle like shown. This option allows:
- Unlimited colors
- Full-bleed
- Decals cut into just about any shape
- We can use “cast vinyl” which is the best printing, longest lasting and easiest to apply and remove. Or “calendared vinyl” which normally leaves adhesive residue when removed and is a little less durable. Both options will last 3+ years and are available laminated or unlaminated which further protects and enhances the look of the graphic. You can order samples here if you need them.
- Print your graphic on white vinyl and cut in a rectangle like shown. This option allows:
-
Option 2: If a “clear” background is needed, you have two options:
- A. Screen printed on clear vinyl- only cost effective for large quantities 2,500+.
- B. Graphic cut from cast colored stock vinyl. There is no background with this method and lots of neat colors to choose from. The finished product looks like the letters are painted on. Note* Small sizes with lots of design detail require printing.
- In multi-colored designs, different colors are installed separately – the “U” and the “S” in this case. Small registration marks are provided with each layer so it’s easy to line up. Works great for larger graphics, usually not practical for lots of small ones.
- A one-color logo would have all the letters on one transfer sheet.
- These graphics can be reverse cut for inside of glass installations. Note* Also possible with Option 1 when using our Static Cling vinyl.
